Sometime, someday, folks will wake up and realize that referring to 3rd party ratings system is akin to

Directory Marketing Suicide

I have said this before and I will say it again

Third party rating systems are useless and have no place in the Directory Sector

Why, don’t most folks wake up, we are right back where we were in August 2007

I see a level of inconsistency that I find incomprehensible, this is an example

A Forum Thread will open about this rating and that rating then folks will post spewing rhetoric about the rating system being useless, flawed, in-accurate etc etc

All of which are in fact 100% True

Then minutes later a Forum Thread will open about example :-

‘Who has a Directory Site rated blah blah’

And guess what yes, the folks who spewed venom in the first thread !

Are postulating like a preened Peacocks that they have a Directory with such a rating

Come on folks you can’t have your cake and then eat it

We and many other owners are sick and tired of the blatant lack of professionalism shown by Directory Owners

Does the Airline Industry talk about traveling by car NO

So why does the Directory Industry talk about 3^rd Party Rating Systems ?

Doing that in a nutshell is just 100% giving free promotion to the 3^rd Party

What we all need to do, and we need to do it right now is talk 100% about Directories plain and simple i.e the many benefits etc etc

Come on folks show what we are made of as autonomous Directory Owners lets stick together.

There has been some exceptional creativity in the market up to the end of the 1^st quarter of 2007, which has produced some excellent sites and many very informative innovative articles and testimonials

Then along came the 2^nd quarter of 2007, and with it a dearth of similar attributes, similar reviews, similar irrelevant references and referrals to mind boggling in-effective gimmicks, and monitoring tools that were at worst useless and at best next to useless.

Then what happened next we got more of the same with reference after reference to some rating device in some search engine, which is totally unrelated to the Directory Market and is owned and operated by owners who are masters at creating publicity and more value added revenue for their own business

Good luck to them they do an excellent job, in fact I would go as far to say no one does it better on the net, and similar success in the High Street worldwide can be attributed to Coca Cola , Nike et al

But we deserve better than this in the booming Directory Sector, what is needed is quick hard performance check on where we are going and taking the lead in innovation and creativity

Following others like sheep to the slaughter has to stop, and it has to stop now, stop referring to bogus 3^rd party gimmicks, stop referring to this rating and that innate rating

Why because we lose identity, kudos and objectivity, the Directory Market deserves better this is a vibrant strong highly reputable sector of the Internet.

We have to change, and we have to change now, we have to start leading not following

Come on guys and gals stop fudging, stop following, stop referring, start leading, start new concepts, start new paradigm changes and remember at all times

We are proud to be leaders and unique go-getters who start and create our new origins/standards/ratings from within our own Directory Market

It’s long overdue that we stand collectively ‘on our own two feet’ we need to through the 3^rd party crutches away, and we need to throw them away now

The Directory Market is our Market, lets get hold of it right now !

We must Lead not follow others !
